Growing Pines in Changing Times Workshop

The purpose of this workshop is 1. to highlight new science and technology developments for pine plantation growers and managers and 2. to equip growers and managers with knowledge regarding how to reduce risk and increase profits under uncertain future climate scenarios.

About this Workshop

Sessions will include:

  • Understanding climate variability and potential implications for plantation management of pines.
  • Site productivity updates and new seedling selection guidelines
  • Density management/insect and disease control
  • Decision Support tools and more
  • Organizers are from Southern Region Extension Forestry, Georgia Forestry Commission, University of Gerogia- Tifton, PINEMAP and International Forest Company

Continuing Education Credits

The Society of American Foresters has approved 6.0 Continuing Education Credit Hours for attendance at this event. There will be a sign in sheet for CFEs.
